Mindfulness is a simple technique that emphasizes paying attention to the present moment in a non-judgemental, accepting manner.  Mindfulness helps decrease anxiety and promote happiness.

Practicing mindfulness positively impacts the development of essential skills such as focus and cognitive control.  Student's self-regulation, judgement and patience is increased when they practice different mindfulness techniques.

Melting Mindfulness Video

Students love mindfulness activities where they can practice self-regulation skills in an interactive manner.  The "Melting" video goes through  Progressive Muscle Relaxation where students can practice relieving tension and stress from their bodies and brain.  Give it a try!
